Close to shops/restaurants. Rates are €750-€760 week all inclusive, except for Christmas and New Year. Minimum stay at any other time of year is 5 days at €660 although you can of course stay for less time but the cost is the same.THIS IS A NON-SMOKING APARTMENT. Wifi access is free. 

Conveniently situated between Ballsbridge and Donnybrook in the lovely capital city of Dublin this is a perfect base from which to explore all of Dublin's rich cultural history as well as being convenient for experiencing the Irish countryside in the nearby Wicklow mountains. The Dart railway is  within walkable distance - close to the bottom of Ailesbury Road, (a tree lined road favoured by the Embassies) and this rapid transit system whisks you up to places such as Howth and Malahide or down to Bray, Greystones or Killiney and many interesting seaside places on route. This area is one which is described as 'exclusive' and has a wealth of facilities including a golf course round the corner at Elm Park. Local food shopping is excellent (with take out cuisine) and you can dine at many good restaurants.  Herbert Park is a stroll away.

It is also very suitable for the business person or academic.  The University College Dublin (UCD) campus at Belfield is close by, as is St Vincents Hospital and the Royal Dublin Society.

City life at St Stephens Green is 10 minutes on the bus or a 25 minute walk away through Georgian streets with plenty of cafes to sustain you on the way.

The apartment, which is much used by us, is equipped more as a proper home than as a bare 'holiday essentials' place.  I personally get it ready for your arrival and do not employ an agent.  As this is a very quiet building with a lot of older retired residents we discourage party givers and goers and encourage the more 'mature' visitor because loud noise at night would not be welcome!

There is a large bedroom with a super king sized bed (made up continental style with twin matresses and duvets so can be used by (close!) friends as well as couples) and a bathroom off this.  The bedroom has a table for working on if there are two of you needing to work on computers and the sitting room has a dining table for 6 which can also be used as a work station.  Broadband access is wifi with no charge for use of this for casual holiday use, but you are asked not to abuse the use with huge downloads. The whole apartment benefits from high ceilings and big picture windows so it is very bright.  There is comfortable seating in front of the fireplace (in which you can burn smokeless logs). There is TV with many channels (although only about 6 of these are worth watching!). There is an entrance hall with video phone entrance system, a cloakroom (basin and WC and washing machine) and a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine.  An east facing balcony is good for fresh air and views but not for sunbathing!

The apartment block has a caretaker, secure free parking for visitors and a very large shared sunny (subject to weather!) garden and you can take a folding chair from my apartment to sit out there.
